Iowa abused NW tonight, 49-0

I was at the meet. Did anyone else notice Morningstar's opponent look like he was tapping out right before he was pinned? I haven't followed wrestling real long, I was just wonder what kind of rules there are with that or if it meant anything?

You are allowed to tap out and take a 4pt NF - and then be in the bottom position on the restart.

I, too, saw the opponent tapping out. I saw it out loud, "he is tapping out, he is tapping out."

Then the hand went down from the ref for 6. Much better :)

It appeared that Morningstar may have been laying on his face making it so he couldn't breath, and was tapping trying to get the ref to stop it. Little did he know he wouldn't be down there long enough for it to matter.

What is tapping out? I don't know that terms.

Its used in MMA mainly, it is a sign of submission. In wrestling people will do it, but not often, and it usually means they are hurt, can't breath, or need to stop for some reason. If they do it while on their back it is 4 back points for the opponent.
