UL-Monroe is not a bad team

I am watching UL-Monroe play Florida State pretty tough right now. The do a lot of the same things that Tenn Tech did but with much more size and athleticism. Iowa cannot afford to look past that game; the good news is that they should be getting some really good film right now.

Every team we play this season is not a bad team. Starting with next week, Iowa State. We may struggle running the ball this season after watching our best RB go down with season ending injury. What happened to Coker!

Purdue is god-awful, and I am not buying the idea that Minnesota and Indiana are suddenly going to turn things around just because they have new coaches. We might struggle against them, yes, but that doesn't mean they aren't bad teams, just like Minnesota was bad when they beat us last year.

I will not tempt fate by telling you what I think of Iowa State.

Coker will be fine. He had a stinker today, but I refuse to believe that he forgot how to run in one off-season.

Cokers fine. The bad conditions held him to a poor start and McCall took advantage of his opportunity. Coker picked it up a bit after a while. He's fine.

Not to mention I bet he was told to dial it back a bit and not risk anything after the McCall deal.
