Alright so we all know we have a good coach. I dont think anyone will argue that. Youtube Bill Parcells on Iowa football. ;)
So I was watching the KF and Bo interview on BTN (I will link at bottom of post, dont know if it will go to the right one or not), KF was asked a couple of questions, I count 5 name drops in his answers. Some are said several times, but altogether 5. I like that he talks about the guys, by name. Shows he is a man of character, is involved with the guys and respects them as men. Pretty dam classy if you ask me.
He is a good coach for more than what he does on the field, I have a feeling.

Actually he doesn’t even need to do that….he only needs to know that since 2001 Iowa is 2nd in Big 10 wins and around 16th, 17th 18th in winning percentage nationally…….. Pretty eye popping. These guys open their mouths and remove all doubt of what they are….

So was Iowa rebuilt by 06' or 07? when they were 6-6 and 6-7?? KF has only had 4 10 win or better seasons. anywhere else he would have been gone......

Since 2001 Iowa has had one season where they were below .500 in conference play. His teams have been rated in the top 8 in country 4 of the last 9 seasons. To say he would be gone shows your ignorance.

Not to mention, I was saying he is a good coach for what he does reguardless of his record (which as you pointed out, is rather nice).

You're right. If he would've done that at ISU or Indiana or Purdue or Northwestern or Illinois he'd been fired so fast. Moron.
 






LOL ignorance? Numbers dont lie.........The man that everyone in this state thinks walks on water is 18-25 vs top 25 teams and 7-15 vs top 10 these numbers are mediocre at best. And only Two "shared" conference titles. As he stands hes one of the highest paid CF coaches in the land, but his numbers really dont add up. What its his 12th yr now? the team should have been "rebuilt" 6-7 years ago. IMO KF is a fraud. Overpaid and Overrated.


@ hawkinaclownhouse......... Hes had three losing conference seasons 99' 00' and 06' and three other .500 seasons 01' 07' 10'.

I read the papers too guys, i just comprehend it a lil different cuz im not a hawks fan. lived here for 12 yrs now.

Have you made a lot of friends in that time? Cuz you seem like you'd be a blast at parties. :p

Put Ferentz at a school with a bigger talent base and he would easily have an NC by now.
 


The program was rebuilt in 2001/2002. If you think a program that has been rebuilt can't have a bad year or 2 (06-07) you're dumb. look at Texas going 5-7 last year. They have more highly touted players in a perennial powerhouse. Even Penn State has had down years, and Wisconsin hasn't always won 9 or 10 games, Ohio State even won only 8 games in 2004 and Florida State etc. Even Florida with Tebow only won 8 game 1 year. How can you say that the program hasn't been rebuilt.

If Iowa fired KF and hired a guy like ISU, they would be at 6 or 7 wins every year, now they expect to win 8 every year with some variation on a side.

Wreckonize ... last I checked 99 and 00 were not "Since 2001" as my post stated. So my statement of one losing conference record in the past 10 years is correct. Yes he was .500 in 07 and 10 but since 2001 the Hawkeyes are 50-30 in conference (good for the 2nd best record).

6-3 in bowl games, 2 big ten championships, 1 walter camp coach of the year award, 3 big ten coach of the year awards. Four 10 win seasons. This is a fraud or overrated? I enjoyed how you claimed having four 10 win seasons is a reason a person should be gone. I would guess most colleges would consider 5 bowl wins in the last 7 seasons a success.
