As a true freshman, Coker quietly rushed for 100 yards in the Hawkeyes’ first eight games. Over the final five games of his rookie season, he rumbled for 522 yards, including more than 200 in a breakout Insight Bowl effort. The 230-pound downhill navigator tends to pick up speed as he gains a head of steam. If the Maryland product didn’t turn heads with his record-breaking postseason effort, he’ll have at least a dozen weekends and 250 carries to raise awareness in 2011.

Initially confused me, too. Nice he's getting some pre-season accolades. But that also makes it more likely he'll be a marked man all season.

After his insight appearance he wasnt going to fly under anyone's radar. Love to see him get some press. Great motivator for him and the program. If am a highschool kid reading this Im thinking - dang the hawks turn out solid backs.

I really feel those 2 guys will be leaders setting the tone for OFF/DEF the next 3 seasons. I'm really excited with the youth in our program. I see more BCS games in the future.
