Iowa vs Minnesota on BTN

Not sure if you really wanna watch this but its on. I forgot that Hunter and Prater both went out w/ injuries in the 1st qtr. Definitely played a major part of getting the L, still no excuse for losing the Pig.

Guess I'm not really sure how this is one of the Big Ten's greatest games. A struggling Iowa team laying an egg and losing to a horrible Minnesota team.. Maybe great from Minny's perspective, IDK.

Kind of reminds me of the Iowa/OSU basketball game from the 2003 BTT that they've aired. The 8th and 9th place teams in the league playing a low-scoring 1st round conference tournament game?

Sometimes I wonder about the B10 Network's definition of the conferences "greatest" games.

I agree, not sure about their criteria for "greatest games" I suppose if I was a Minny fan I'd count it though. Its senior day, coming in w/a 1-9 record vs a ranked Iowa team that has destroyed them the last few years and they pull off a huge upset that goes down to the wire.

Definitely not a "greatest game" to me, but i could see it...

This is not in their series of "Greatest Games", its just a condensed version of our game last year they are showing because it is Minnesota's preview night on the BTN. They will play Iowa games all day and night on Wednesday when it is our day for the preview.

One thing I've noticed rewatching portions of that game multiple times over the last few days. It looks like we are playing in a hockey rink, yet you almost never see a Minny player have problems with their footing. It was very frustrating to watch...

I wish it was that simple of an explanation - but Iowa just got worked that day. Most of them didn't want to be there, and it showed.
