Looking at the number of preseason honors

Without a doubt, the Hawk squad has talent. The question is how well they'll play together as a team. Futhermore, A LOT of our talent is pretty young. Thus, there's also the question as to how well the young guys will play ... and how long it will take them to play sound, consistent ball.

The coaches did a great job of utilizing the bench last year and many of the "new" players saw significant action during real games. They are young, but they are talented and hungry to make up for last year. I see at least Law, Cooper, McCall, Raymon, Blythe, Lomax, Canzeri, Spears, and maybe a couple more true freshman getting some reps and contributing this year which bodes well for the coming years. 26 seniors gone but only a handful made huge impacts and are hard to replace. We will sneak up on many teams this year.

It's usually not a good thing if you see a true freshman offensive lineman getting playing time. Blythe will be good, but I doubt he sees the field this year.
