Zach Bolton, Illinois' 2nd highest rated recruit, much like Joseph Smith in the 1840's, is fleeing Illinois for Utah. His reasoning is priceless...

"(Utah has) just been a winning program," Bolton said. "Illinois has been having some bad seasons. I always considered Utah. I liked Illinois too, but it was just a point of (Utah) winning all these bowl games and having all these bowl-game appearances. They're always ranked nationally in the BCS. If Illinois would have had the same program as far as Utah, I wouldn't have decommitted."

He committed in December...then he realized that Illinois sucks at football. If Zook was able to hide that from him for a month, the guy's a genuis. They should extend his contract! Illinois recruiting class is now ranked #76 by Rivals.

We have seen what Zook can do with tons of talent, now we will get to see what he can do with dwindling talent. Man I wish Iowa didn't have to wait 2 years to play them, might not get another shot at the Zooker.

Zook is losing his pillar of strength and that is his ability to sell a so-so product by getting recruits to think it's the greatest thing going.

It's just a matter of time until he and Illinois part ways.

Zook wont be there after 2010. Current ILL AD is retiring after the 2010 season.
The new AD will have the golden opportunity to put his stamp on the program.
No AD can resist that. Zook is going, going, gone.
