Keep Reiff away from ESPN.com please.

Kiper has him at #11 on his big board for 2012.

If this keeps up, he is a goner for sure.

I won't be sad if a Hawkeye declares early and gets drafted in the top 15. It probably helps the program more than the single player year lost. I look forward to the day when we'll have a handful of guys declaring early every year.

IMO Reiff has been Iowa's best player on the OL since the Penn St game in 2009.

He's had two very good years at Iowa. If he has a great season in 2011, he should go.

Barring injuries or just a train wreck of a season.....he be gone after 2011.

It still amazes me that we don't have the top o-line prospects in the country lined up around the corner waiting for a chance to get into the Iowa program.

I hope that he has a great season and decides to head to greener ($$$) pastures. That means he is a heck of a player, had a great year and helped the team. I know we have sent a lot of linemen to the league, but in order to help with recruiting it helps to see guys that are in the first round, and if they leave early that is great for young recruits to see as well. I hope that as IOWA we can replace guys on the O-Line because that is what we do.

I agree. I guess the allure of going to an SEC school and sitting at #2 on the depth chart your first 2 years is just too much for some kids :D.. but, then again, I can rest easily knowing the Iowa staff does more with molding O-Line kids than any other program in the country.

The last I've heard, Reiff wasn't even considering getting the insurance for his JR season. That's at least a sign that he hasn't yet given it much thought. Hopefully he sticks around. I originally thought that it was done deal concerning him leaving after the '11 season ... but from posters who I trust, I've heard that it's not yet a done-deal.

My fingers are crossed ... because I agree with CaarHawk concerning the potential of the '12 squad.

I for one hope he has that good of a season. If he leaves he leaves but at least it would mean he did great.

I agree. Sarcasm gets lost on some here in the interwebs. A Gallery type junior year would be pretty sweet, Bulaga not so much. Obviously every knew he was a bada$$, but with the "tattoo infection," the Hawks didn't get the full benefit.
