For those who are looking for my Nico Law interview

As a long time patron of this site, I really appreciate your interviews. I read the Cooper interview yesterday and I think you really have something going for you. As a side note, when I was a sports writer I had my editor up my butt constantly to make sure I use the proper wordage. I am not trying to make a serious point here, believe me, but I constantly see the use of the word "then" instead of "than". Like I said, This isn't knit picking, I am just curious why so many people do that. I have seen it 1000 times on the forums so its not just you. Thanks again for your great efforts.

Thanks so much for your kind words. My dream job has always been to be a sports radio host and journalist and eventually be the "voice of the hawkeyes". I appreciate the constructive criticism, it helps me get better as a writer. I write for my school newspaper and my blog. Im going to start writing for nflmock.com. I'm just trying to take the right steps to becoming a future star in the journalism world. Thanks again

Not to be a jerk, but it's "nit" picking. Like picking "nits" out of your hair.

The clown hate is awesome. we are asking that question to every recruit!! loving their responses..

What stands out most to me as a good indicator of likely future success is your initiative.

Have a dream? Take the steps to get you there.

You are empathetic with your reader (choosing good people and questions) and respectful of your interviewees (preparing before the interview and scheduling them ahead show your professionalism).

I have read and concur with others' constructive criticism. I'd like to say your attitude shown in your responses to them (no defensiveness) is refreshing and will serve you well as an aspiring journalist and in life in general. FWIW: it might be helpful if you consider the effort and time it takes you to "polish" and proofread your work as a statement to your subject and your reader that you respect them; you value and appreciate the time they both give your work. Those relationships can make or break your pursuit of success. Good luck, Sayre.

Thanks man. Yeah, I always set up my interviews days in advance so I can properly prepare the questions I am going to ask, as well as getting my questions in order to make the interview go smoothly. I have an extremely high amount of drive to achieve my ultimate goal, which is to be the next Gary Dolphin and Jon Miller :). I realize I have an enormous amount of work to do to get better at the journalism aspect of things. That includes proofreading, word usage and how I describe things. I just try to stay focused on the task at hand and store the constructive criticism in the back of my head. Some times its hard to keep my self confidence up, but the kind words that fellow hawk fans give him is encouraging so I truly thank each and everyone of you. Go Hawks
