sCam Newton to take a pay cut by going into the NFL draft

Won't be taking a pay cut, but yes, NCAA sanctions won't be too far behind now. The Suns game courtside seats came across to me as a big "f*ck you" to the NCAA.

NCAA president Mark Emmert said -

"If you look at the Newton case, a lot of people came away from that, because it's a complicated case, saying, 'Gosh, it's OK for a father to solicit money for the services for his son or daughter?' " Emmert told reporters afterward. "The answer to that is no, it isn't. But we don't have a rule that makes that clear."

Reeeallllly?? Are ya sure about that Mark?

Really, then why would you rule him ineligible Mark? Sure, it was only for a day. But if there's no rule for it, there was ZERO reason to suspend him in the first place. He violated his amateur status (the NCAA said that in its findings). Therefore, he shouldn't have been playing.
