Just heard from guy at Inside the League. He says he jumped gun on Prater. Prater waffling, but leaning toward staying at Iowa.FWIW

Prater's Facebook status: "To clean up the rumors I have not declared as of now I am still a proud hawkeye"

Twitter says he's gone and facebook says he's still a Hawkeye. Gotta love social networks. LOL

My guess is depending on the Sash situation, Bernstine will be playing Safety opposite Sash or along side Tanner Miller.

If Sash stays, i would imagine Tanner Miller would solidify the FS spot and Bernstein would play corner opposite of Hyde. If Sash goes, then that is the only way i see Bernstein playing safety.

I'd love to see Bernstine get a crack at FS. Big, fast and likes to lay the wood. I wonder if that Missouri WR ended up with cracked ribs?

All things being equal, the rule of thumb is that unless you are projected to be drafted in the first three rounds you should not enter the draft.

I don't see McNutt, Prater or Sash being projected as top three round picks. However, age, economics, etc. play into the equation. Other than Fred Russell, I don't think that there has been a Hawk to leave early that wasn't drafted in the first three rounds.

Per a former player that has recently spoke with mcnutt, the draft advisory people projected him a round 2/3 pick.
