Only good thing about the Big Ten Bowl debacle...

I knew no one would feel the same, but that's ok. I understand that we want the Big Ten to look as good as possible, but after the days games the media and fans of other conferences already think we're crap. I don't like it, but it is what it is. The fact that I don't feel the need to root for a team I despise is, as I said, the lone bright spot to the days results. Just out of curiosity, could somebody tell me how Wisconsin winning a BCS game helps the Hawks recruiting?

Would you whether go to a school that has a weak conference or a strong one like SEC. Hawkeye recruit may want to play where the best play. If Ohio loses and B10 end up 2-6 not a strong conference at all and over-hyped!

Honestly I think kids just want to win period. If they're not from the south I'm not sure that they have the H***-on for the SEC that ESPN does.

If a recruit is going to play for a Big Ten team and can choose between one that just won the Insight Bowl and one that just won the Rose Bowl which do you think that kid is going to pick? Say what you want but teenagers heads are easily turned (I know because I was one).
I want Iowa to have every advantage they can get. A wisconsin loss in the Rose Bowl falls into that category (in my opinion anyway).

wow. I thought the big ten was a bit overhyped, but honestly who expected this?

congrats to Iowa for being seemingly the only team in the conference that knows how to prepare for and win a bowl game on a consistant basis.

Bad day for the conference, but a part of me is glad to see the Badgers lose. And yes, how did we lose 5 this year?
