is that now I don't feel compelled to have to root for Wisconsin in the
Rose Bowl.
I hope TCU finds a way to hang a hundred on them.
 


Right, we've had an embarrassing morning, so let's just pour it on! Give me a break. I'm sick of having to listen to the Big Ten mocking in the media and from around the country. We need to win both BCS games to salvage some semblance of pride.
 




If Wisconsin and Ohio State win, the Big Ten will have beaten three ranked teams in the five bowl games they faced ranked teams.
 


The only day this could get worse, in the Big Ten going 0-3 against thee SEC, would be to lose the Rose Bowl to a non-AQ with one of the ugliest mascots around.
 








The Big Ten needs OSU and the BADgers to win or this conference is right back where it was three years ago as the CFB whipping boy.

This. And not only that, Wisky losing isn't just a loss. It's a loss to a non-AQ team. I think TCU a very, very good team. But that's not how it'll be spun by ESPN.
 


I knew no one would feel the same, but that's ok. I understand that we want the Big Ten to look as good as possible, but after the days games the media and fans of other conferences already think we're crap. I don't like it, but it is what it is. The fact that I don't feel the need to root for a team I despise is, as I said, the lone bright spot to the days results. Just out of curiosity, could somebody tell me how Wisconsin winning a BCS game helps the Hawks recruiting?

You think it's bad now? If you got your wish, two of our 3 co-champions will have gotten curb-stomped. Everybody knew that MSU was overrated, and they were supposed to lose convincingly. Wisconsin, on the other hand, has gotten quite a bit of hype from the national media. Them losing to TCU will make things MUCH worse. If we win both BCS games, we claim 3 wins over top 12 opponents, and 2 BCS wins.
 


I guess my point is that I don't think Wisconsin winning or losing helps the national perception of the conference, not after the other games today. If they hadn't been such blow-outs it may have been different.
I honestly don't think it CAN get any worse when it comes to how the media will portray the Big Ten.

With all of this being said, I totally expect Wisconsin to win. I just won't be rooting for them.
 


Them winning might not help, but if they lose it will hurt the conference even more.
 




Has Rich Rod gotten fired yet? That was a joke. Many of us saw those losses coming, but I never thought they'd be A** Whoops like they turned out to be. Wisky winning or losing is not going to impact Iowa recruiting.
 




F-Wisconsin, and F-Bielema... I hope they get rolled.
I personally don't give a crap what the National media says about the BT or anyone else for that matter.

You don't seem dense at all. Although I think that most of the other posters in this thread would say that I am.

Usually I'll root for all Big Ten schools during bowl season. When it comes to schools like NW and Wisc. it's hard for me because I particularly dislike their athletic programs, but do it anyway if it means the Big Ten will have a winning bowl record overall.

With all of the lopsided losses today there was no longer any need to root for Wisconsin as I felt their winning or losing would not help the Big Ten when it comes to national perception. The media is going to say the conference sucks anyway, so why should I root for a team I can't stand.

The hundred points was mostly because of Coach Bielema's love of running up the score.
