DJK tainted 2009

I've been a die hard Hawkeye fan for a few decades, and the 2009 football season may have been my favorite of them all. And now, every day when I see the SI cover, or think about (or watch) his TD catch v. Indiana, the couple catches v. MSU at the end of the game, or the great snag at home against Michigan near the end of the first half (among many other great memories) I can't help but think about his current situation and it taints the 2009 season for me. (actually the 2008 season too when I think about his td v. PSU, among others).

I'm sure this is a temporary feeling and that it will pass, but I'm wondering if others feel the same way? Maybe I just need a hug.

No don't feel that way at all one person does not change a team, and the young man just made some bad choices let's just hope he makes good ones moving forward, and get his life squared around.

DJK didn't taint anything. This season was already tainted by the team apparently deciding to take the entire month of November off. I already had a sour taste in my mouth before the news broke. Frankly, as far as I'm concerned, I think we've hit the point of diminishing returns in terms of the impact of new bad news as it gets released.

I agree. I don't know does anyone know if KF ever pulls the team captains in for a heart to heart when things are going downhill or does he just figure that they need to pull themselves out of it? Anyone know? Because I sure as hell would have had them in my office prior to the Minny game.
