So Orange gets VA Tech / UConn and Fiesta gets OU/Nebby winner vs. Stanford.

Ouch.

Meanwhile the Sugar gets an unsexy Arkansas game while the Rose gets TCU?

Maybe the BCS didn't work... only the championship game.

Yes, because that TCU vs Wisconsin matchup is so appealing. When they added that 5th BCS game they really watered down the competition since the lowest two teams never seem to get matched up against each other.

You don't think OSU and Arkansas fans will set that place out? Or that ESPN won't promote the **** out of it, or that you won't watch?

It isn't? I think that will be a fantastic game.

I think it will be a great game, just like if the Fiesta gets Stanford against the winner of OU/Nebraska.

I don't think Arkansas is a marquee team. And Stanford can't travel to their own stadium much less another state.

Didn't #9 GaTech play #10 Iowa last year? Conference tie-in's might be more of the culprit in this situation.

I like the TCU/Wisconsin matchup.

Wisconsin's last 2 RB opponents couldn't defend a Pop Warner squad. TCU will actually punch back.

I know you know this, but one of those opponents defended us pretty well...... do you think that the NCAA will let us schedule the Little Giants? lol

Fiesta Bowl gets last pick so I'm guessing they get stuck with UCONN. So it would be OU vs. UCONN and then Va Tech vs. Stanford in the Orange which would be a pretty good game. Granted Stanford won't take many to Miami.

I guess it's possible the Orange thinks UCONN will bring more fans and pick them but I think they will grab the better team in Stanford.

You know, the whole Rose Bowl replacement scenario is really unfortunate this year, because OU / TCU in the Fiesta and Stanford / Wisky in the Rose would be much more desirable matchups.

As far as the Stanford to Orange and UCONN to Fiesta, that won't happen. Those fan bases need to be kept close to home or half the stadium will be empty.

That's probably right. UConn v. VT in the Orange, OU/Stanford in the Fiesta makes sense for all parties involved.

The point of the BCS wasn't to create 4/5 historic matchups in bowl games, it was ONLY supposed to put #1 against #2. Thats it. So this season the BCS worked. I still dislike it overall.

Just showed on ESPN that Brad Edwards is predicting these BCS games:

Title: Auburn vs. Oregon
Sugar: Ohio State vs. Arkansas
Orange: Virginia Tech vs. Stanford
Fiesta: Oklahoma vs. UCONN
Rose: Wisconsin vs. TCU

We will see tomorrow if he's right.

only the championship game.

And if you actually read about what the BCS does, they only care about #1 and #2 - ie, the championship game.

If you look back, I'm sure many would argue that most of the match-ups are crap. And they're going to be an extra load of crap this year it looks like.
