Insight Bowl must be having an orgasm

Yeah, that was me.......decided to go with a little old school Dr. J. Brady owns the steelers and the road to the Super Bowl probably goes through New England in the AFC. Got ****** a couple a weeks ago and changed it.

I guess I shouldn't tell you that I'm a big Patriots fan.
.
But I think the world of Tomlin, he's a great coach and a terrific person.

I know most people wish we get Nebraska. However for me I want Mizzu. I will see enough of Nebraska starting in 2011.

I thought maybe wisenhut or russ grimm should have got the job, but i completely understand how he blew away the rooney family during the interview process. He has that 'it' factor.....that same quality that Pat Fitzgerald has. Some guys are just born to be a HC, he is definitely one. He has completely won me over.

Give me Nebby......I want the Hawks to have as many opportunities as possible to beat these guys.

TRJ, no offense, but you underestimate Iowa fans and their intense dislike for Nebraska.

I'm confident 15,000 Iowa fans will make the trip. Maybe more!!!

Iowa will play better if we can get several injured players back in the lineup.

Agree here. My wife and I probably wouldn't have flown from the East Coast for Iowa in another bowl game. But Iowa against Big Red in Arizona, we're going to find a way to do it.

I have felt all week that if Iowa would get to play Nebraska, and beat them, while it will not wash away all the pain from this season, it would be the best possible tonic out there to take away some of it.

Yes to this but I have to wonder (as someone asked elsewhere) if our players will know this? Do they have any idea how much Iowa/Nebby fans hate each other? They've never played one another.

If they do win convincingly, it *will* take away some of the frustration with this season. If they lose, it's going to suck for those of us who will have to listen to if for another 9-10 months.

Advantage Nebr....they have been beating up on Iowa teams for years. They will be ready and they will know the stakes. Our guys probably know where Nebr is other than that not sure they will even care. Wonder if our coaches will care? Doubt it but it can save a few of their jobs if they beat Nebr

I highly doubt any of the coaches jobs are in jeopardy .

I really cant see Iowa fans flocking to this game this year in light of how the trip to Tuscon went. Unless a lot of locals goto the game which is probably likely.

The only ''it'' factor that Fitz has is that he is a pathetic, petty ***** whose arrogance is only exceeded by his ego.
Chicago media is used to being lectured by Fitz about how good NW is,and even last weekend he bristled at them for suggesting that giving up nearly 120 points the last two weekends was a setback for his defense...and he questioned the journalist's agenda....nice,Fitz.

I'm not a NW fan or live in the Chicago burbs so I don't know every little detail about Fitz. All I know is that he has a presence about him, he gets the max out of that program. Is he a little arrogant? Yeah, probably.....name a D-1 HC worth anything that isn't.

Insight Bowl is about to have premature climax as it relates to the possibility of Iowa vs. Nebraska in their game.

1. Two teams who had NC aspirations this year.
2. An intense border rivalry starts 10 months early
3. Suddenly a game of national relevance.
4. TV ratings
5. The fanbases will actually travel like this is a BCS game.
6. Both teams will care intensely about the outcome of the game, something that in truth doesn't occur in any games outside of the NC game, or maybe the Rose Bowl.

A win for either team probably even validates an otherwise disappointing season for both teams.

It looks more like the Big XII is getting the "O" with NU helping themselves out of the BCS and into the Holiday for an unwanted/unwarranted rematch. They are sadder today i am sure because of this.
