OSU fans

I get every team has their pockets of ridiculous fans (read this message board) but I have to laugh at grown men dressing up in outfits for a college football game

I know the "Buck nut" fat guy and cowboy getup dude are kind of along the lines of a Firemen Ed fan type, but wouldn't you feel like kind of stupid painting your face and wearing a costume to a game post college? Get a life!

That loss hurts but I'm sick of the overreaction each week! Pryor gets stopped on the 4th down scramble, suddenly the staff is fine again! People need to get real, college football games are won and lost and Iowa's come up on the short end in close games this year. It's not the end of the world, the sun came up today.

Thump the Gophers next week, go to a decent bowl and win again. There were some high expectations this year but this team didn't quite seem to have it when it mattered. Stick with it though instead of calling for heads and jumping off bridges and please don't play dress up if you're out of college and it's not Halloween. That's my simple plea, go Hawks!

My sentiments exactly. I had hopes this team could equal the expectations, but it wasn't to be. You can look at the four losses and find one play that could have turned a L into a W. It wasn't to be. The Hawkeyes are my team. This year's chapter isn't quite written. It can end on an up note. I'll still look forward to next years chapter with the same passion as I had for this one.

OSU IS college football, seriously.

Go to a game in Columbus sometime, its amazing. Yes they have a lot of db fans, but they have a lot of classy causal fans too.

If your a big college football fan, attending a game in the shoe is something you should put of your list of things to do before you die. Its a lot of fun.

Oh please....if someone over 25 wants to get a little crazy and dress up with their fan colors who cares? It's all in good fun. My dad is 72 and dons a black and gold fur wig every game and probably is the loudest fan in the south end zone. A huge group of "over 40" people that I tailgate with all bought customized black and gold kilts, wild socks and shirts to wear tithe ISU game. I love those kind of fans as well as the 18 year olds that wear body paint every game. They're fun to be around.
