Two questions I have been wondering about.

1. Why does Iowa put visiting fans so close to the field rather than up in the top corners somewhere?

2. Why do we have our punter as the place holder for FG and PAT's?

I've often wondered about those same two questions. There was a lot of wisconsin fans in ic yesterday and at the game.

Typically you like the back up qb or some one with good hands that can make good decisions if you are put in that situation!!

Yes exactly. Not saying anyone would have done a better job yesterday on the botched FG but I would feel better if we had a QB as the holder in case we need a pass thrown. IF we ever decided to run a fake FG (I know it will never happen) it would be hard to do so with the punter throwing and you certainly can't bring on one of the QB's just for that. You might as well tell the opponents what you're about to do.

PUT THE OPPONENT'S FANS UP IN THE CORNERS! Let Iowa fans have the seats they currently have. Doesn't the rest of the Big Ten venue's put opponent fans up high??

1) They sit the defensive fans in the lower section along the goal line because those are the worst seats in Kinnick. You get no vantage point and the when the action is on the other side of the field you often can't see much other than your teams helmets on the sideline.

2) The Punter holds for us for the same reason the punter holds for most NFL teams. Practice time is limited and you want your backup QB's with the offense rather than catching hundreds of snaps a day. The only guys that have time for that are the kickers and the punters.

We ran a fake FG in the bowl game last year.

Why did the Wisky fans have seats in the north end zone behind the goal posts? If there are any road fans there, it's usually for their band. I wonder if the Wisky band was originally supposed to come and didn't for some reason? If so, those seats should have came back to the U of I to be sold to our fans.

I have never seen that happen before, and I didn't like it one bit.

There was a big block of those tickets on sale on StubHub. Perhaps a group canceled an order? Clearly, they were bought up by Wisky fans.

Call Hawk Talk and ask Coach Ferentz. It's on Wednesday's from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Central Time. Phone number is 877-464-2957 (go hawks). I suggest you call in after 7:30 p.m. as the first 1/2 hour it's Gary Dolpin and the callers. Coach generally arrives around 7:30 or a little after.

the low corners of the sidelines are the worst seats!

low EZ aren't much better, but way too good to sell to stinking badgers
