I was bored this morning, looked at the divisional alignments, the scheduling for the next two seasons and protected rivalries. All of a sudden, I realized Iowa might not play Wisconsin again until 2015.
Iowa does not play Illinois, Ohio State and Wisconsin for the next two seasons. For the following two year scheduling cycle, Iowa will drop Indiana and Penn State and pick up two of the three. If Illinois is not picked up, it means that Iowa will go from 2008 to 2015 without playing Illinois. Unless, the Big Ten goes to a nine game conference schedule, Iowa will not play either Illinois, Ohio State or Wisconsin until 2015. Yet, Iowa will play its great rival Purdue every year
