Getting the win was a big plus. I don't care how it came ... I'm just happy that we got it!

The primary negative was the possible injuries from the game. I certainly hope that the injury to Daniels wasn't season-ending.

yep, very good win. the 4th quarter was pretty brutal, but michigan never had the ball with a chance to tie or take the lead.

look at scores around the country if you need more perspective. auburn has given up 43 points at home, but arkansas has given up 65 (just so far!). nebraska loses at home to an unranked team and was never really in the game. florida state needs a 4th quarter drive to beat a mediocre boston college team at home. either wisconsin or ohio state will have another loss at the end of the night.

i will take a 10-point win on the road in the big ten anytime, against anyone.

my prim negative was it shows how over rated this D is....

We gave up some points, but did you really think we would hold Michigan to single digits? That's a good offense. I kind of get the feeling that Forcier coming into the game threw us a curve after spending two weeks focusing on D-Rob.. This was a Top-5 defense in the country coming into this game. It honestly played out about how I thought it would. We still have a good D IMO.

Was disappointed in the fourth, but do you think we planned for Forcier? I feel we definitely should have put more pressure on him. Our secondary was getting eaten alive anyway; might as well send and extra man a few times. Continue to be impressed my our Robinson. That third down pick up convinced me that I'd take him over any other back in the big ten. Great catch (low pass) and then the determination to not be tackled was AWESOME!

I really dont think any perspective is needed.

It was the most points an Iowa team has ever scored at Michigan, a rare win at Michigan period, the Hawks win on the road in the league, they are 2-0.

Exactly. Any win in the Big House is nice. I didn't expect an easy win, and I sure didn't expect our D to pitch a shutout against that offense. A nice win IMO. Don't sweat the fact that we gave up some points.. We earned a tough win and were in control most of the way. Our toughest games are at home the rest of the way, and I like our chances in every game we have left.

Has the ever been a team that struggles so much when it knocks out the other team's starting quarterback? We contain D-Rob, knock him out, and Forcier torches us. Last year, same team but reverse the quarterbacks. Capital One Bowl, we bottle up Marcus Randall, knock him out, contain Flynn, and then JaMarcus Russell leads the comeback. Even knocking Persa out of the Northwestern game last year didn't really do much for us.

Great win for the Hawkeyes! Any win at Michigan is great.

As for struggling against backup QBs, I imagine lots of teams do. You spend all week gameplanning for one thing, and a new QB flips everything around. Either way, the Hawks are 2-0 against Michigan the last couple years. I'll take it however it comes.

I think a lot of that is how the D is geared. We were ready for more running then passing.

ICHawk beat me to it.

This was not our first road win. We beat ISU on the road.

I agree ... but there will be those fans who insist that our D was "exposed." I simply don't think that that was really the case.
