I don't care how many points Iowa wins by, they could win by field goal if it means correcting the errors from Saturday night.

I would just like to ATTEMPT a FG before we get into B10 conference play. Mossbrucker hasn't kicked a "live" FG attempt since 2008, right?
 


This game will be a slaughter. I'm assuming Kirk ripped into their ***** so hard the last two days that they're going to need to be rubbing Desitin on their buttholes for weeks. If they don't come out and lay the wood to Ball State then we may be looking at a repeat of either the '05 or '06 seasons.

I don't see Kirk as the kind of guy who is going to "rip" someone a new one.

What I can see is him telling the team that this year can go one of two ways, and it's up to them to decide.

Even saying that, how the rest of the year goes is on the seniors. If they've got the chutzpah that we all think they have, anything is possible.
 


Watchin Kirks post game it sure looked like he just got done ripping everyone 8 ways to next saturyday, he still had a lot of fire left in him when the reporters were asking their really obvious questions.

I wish he would just let the team run up the score this go around. Put up 60 and then call it a day, Kirk needs to stop being nice to the lesser schools just because it makes people feel all warm and fuzzy.

I haven't seen the game replay on TV yet as right now I don't want to relive it however watching from the stands in the 3rd quarter it looked like Kirk called the OLine over during a timeout and his demeanor didn't look like he was having a friendly chat. Kirk may not act like Stoops or Zook but I firmly believe that he has "rip ***" on his dial and can and will turn it up to that level if and when needed.
 


Ball State is pretty bad. They did lose to Liberty. Then again they hung around with Purdue (not that they are great but they are a big ten team)

This is a great thought in theory and may happen but human nature would say the team and crowd is flat on Saturday to start the game. I expect a slow start and Iowa to win by 20 or so
