I know they do, and I grew up on a farm, but there is more to iowa than farms, I am proud and all, but seriously they need to quit stereotyping so muchAlways is with ESPN. They really do make it look like kinnick is just in the middle of a huge *** corn field.
I am just being a smartass - again, I love cornfields, I spent many many hours working in them.Whatelse they going to show. A beach?
Be proud Iowa is farm country. The things that people will complain about. lol

I agree with some of the other posts, it would be nice to see other things in Iowa besides the cornfield. Nothing against farmers or cornfields but they do get old after you see them everyday. Also lets be honest, most of the people that are watching this game are in the midwest and most people in the midwest have seen cornfields before. But anyways lets get back to the game and enjoy another Hawkeye win!
It's been that way since I can remember. Get used to it. Just a bunch of hicks in a cornfield.......hicks that have the 4th best team in the nation!![]()
Here's another stat that goes along with that though...
Total land area in Iowa (acres): 35,747,594
Total farmland area in Iowa (acres): 30,747,550
Percentage of farmland: 86.0%
(2007 data)
