...Iowa scores their first TD?

I think they kick a field goal on their first possession. Then they hold ISU, get the ball back, and score a TD on their second possession.

What say you?

Iowa doesn't score on their first 2 possessions- everyone watching on tv and in the stands starts getting allllllll freaked out then Iowa scores a TD/FG on their next 3 possessions.

Score on our first possession in 7 play drive. ARob with a 6 yrd TD run off the left side (Short side of the field too).

Missed FG on 1st possession, D gets a stop and ARob punches it in for 6 on the 2nd drive

just curious, how do you picture the RB rotation going? i figure arob will start and then hampton will do the second possession and so on.

either way, 98 yard TD return on the opening kickoff.

book it

That would be the best way for the game to start. Or worst? I always seem to go back to the USC game where we ran the opening kick back for a TD, then got whooped.

Well duh! ;) LOL

Still, when was the last time we returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown?

Pretty sure is was that Orange Bowl...

I can't even remember any in the Ferentz era besides that one, Jermelle Lewis' vs MSU in 2002 and then DJK's at OSU last year. What am I forgetting?

On the first possession Iowa drives down to the ISU 30. They have a third and 2. ARob runs the stretch play and does not pick up the first down. ISU goes 3 and out. Iowa gets the ball Hampton comes in on the series by series rotation. On third and 3 from the Iowa 40 he goes 60 yards to the endzone.

End of series by series rotation.

We score on the first two possessions and a FG on the third. First TD is a deep bomb to McNutt, second is a short Hampton run from <5 yards out.
