If this Indiana team wins out I don’t see how they don’t go down in history as the best individual season team in the history of college football.
Better than the mid 90s undefeated nebraska teams. Waaaaaaaaay tougher schedule and the CFP is a meat grinder gauntlet that the fuskers never had to deal with.

It's very hard to believe they were the absolute worst power team historically with wins vs losses. They were dead last until Cig got them to be 2nd to dead last this year. I would have thought Kansas, Iowa St or like a Temple would have been worst historically.

I noticed that to, like a sore thumb. He had to battle that soooo much when he went to Indiana, even from their own fan base. He got sick of it and you can tell it just eats at his craw.

Blocking and tackling can do good things.
On a side note, I've seen some major draft scouts (former chief scouts from NFL teams, etc.) that have given Mendoza a 4th/5th round grade. He'll go in the 1st, but I've always had my doubts. Just haven't seen it. This guy is the same guy that argued with Mel Kiper about Shitoor Sanders. He said he's a UDFA and Kiper said he was the #1 QB.

That's part of the problem. A lot of people still ignore the fact they beat the Sooners and feel they didn't belong there anyway. That mixed with an ass kicking is an absolutely perfect recipe for them getting absolutely destroyed on social media.

Honestly it may have been, but also that season where nothing could go our way at times. Flip scripts and get this team and one of those seasons where every break seems to go our way and we're a playoff team. Close so many times but just couldn't cut it.
