I said in another thread I might do this so here it is...

And don't cast your vote based on what I said in the other thread. I don't want a bunch of people whining about me being wrong if Iowa zigs instead of zags. Go on your own intuition.

No, "I don't knows..." no "Maybe, buts..."

Yes or no. Write your answer in the history book for evermore.

Give us the name you are so confident is replacing Kirk.

Isn't this what message boards are for?

Can't do that. And I don't have complete confidence he will replace Kirk. I am 100% confident however that he's who they're after.

Like I said, anyone can feel free to call bullshit. I have no problem with that.

Does this person have ties to the state of Iowa or the Iowa football program?

I'm not calling bullshit - just fascinated by it. But come on man.

You said you are very confident - over 93% - that this is Kirk's last season.

You said it all "hinges on Iowa (not KF) getting who they're after." You are 100% confident that Iowa's after someone specific, and you know that person's identify.

So how does that not add up to you being confident Iowa will replace Kirk with this person?

If Kirk not being coach next year all hinges on Iowa getting this person, then doesn't that assume Kirk will remain coach if Iowa doesn't get this identified candidate?

Is this fair to say?

You are over 93% confident Kirk will be replaced next season by a person whose identity you know but prefer to not disclose.

I voted Yes that he will be back, but I could tell by his expression after the loss against Oregon that the loss weighed heavily on him.

The crappy officiating alone would tire me out. The facemask and late hit out of bounds where the official picked up the flag just made my blood boil.. Why can't facemask be review like everything else. I mean either a guys mask was grabbed or it wasn't. That was no one second, I stuck my hand in the mask event. It was pretty blatant. How in the hell did they miss that?

The 93% is speculation by me. What I think and trust to be true because of who I received the information from, is that Iowa has a candidate that they want and coaching candidates don't wait around for a year. The grey area in my opinion is whether they land this person.

it would make sense for Kirk to retire after this season. An old school coach in his upper 60’s who has always been about building culture and developing talent could easily look at the NIL landscape and decide it’s time to take it easy. He has surpassed Woody Hayes's all time conference win total; a total that may likely never be beaten, put a ton of players in the NFL, and built on the respectability that Hayden brought to the program. As Kirk himself would say, next man in.

I voted yes. No clue. No thoughts. No information.
It's kind of like just taking the under when Iowa is playing.
I'm going with the statistics I have in front of me. I have 25 seasons of him where he did not quit, retire, or get fired.

So theoretically Kirk would be back if they can't land this person?
