Clones had 500 yards of offense but 4 Turnovers
Got to give BYU credit for getting the big plays when they needed them and on the opponents home field. Penn State was a good win, however catching them at the right time didn't hurt things, coach gone and starting QB. Minnesota is Minnesota and usually starts out strong by playing the more weaker teams, then like usual they fold like a lawn chair during the second half of the season. I had us going undefeated and losing our first game to Penn State. No one could see Penn State collapsing like they have when this season started.

Then again who saw us losing to traditionally weak programs like Iowa State and Indiana. That's what is so damn frustrating. We could be undefeated right now looking a head to Oregon in two weeks.

I don't like having a bye weak before playing Oregon. I don't know what it is with bye weeks and Iowa but it seems like many times have we played like shit coming out of bye weeks with what appears to be momentum behind our backs and a huge game approaching? Do the players go binge drinking for two weeks when we get to this point?

I hate to be that guy, but does anyone even remember when we last beat a currently rated top twenty team let a lone a currently rated top ten team? Alas, we all know the history of playing top ten or top twenty teams and it has been the difference between Kirk being a solid good coach and a great coach. All time big ten conference wins is helped one by playing more games in a year, and two having Maryland and Rutgers added to our conference. Adding the Pac 10 to the mix hasn't affected the number to much because they haven't been in the conference long enough for it to be a factor......... YET.

Iowa has to win out even though the announcers said Iowa needs to win one out of two of the big games left. I am assuming they are talking about Oregon and/or getting to and winning the Big Ten title game.

History does not bold well for Kirk. History dictates a typical 9-3 or 8-4 season and playing in some meaningless bowl game. A 27 year history is a huge sample size. The post game show guys are talking shit and it is their job to hype things to get better ratings for upcoming games which generates more money for their commercials. We all know they do the very same thing when they visit the conference pre-season camps. Seems to be an Iowa/Iowa State thing. Iowa obviously has been much better over Iowa State as they are late comers to the party, but as of late it doesn't quite feel that way.

It would be sad if it wasn't so comical for both programs. Of course Iowa State plays in a much more inferior conference. For that reason every season give's them a much more higher chance of getting to the playoffs over Iowa getting there. If Iowa was in their conference the odds for Iowa getting to the playoffs would be one in every three years.

That's why I am for a thirty-two team playoff. So that more fan's that following teams like Iowa can enjoy being involved. Why is it fair that the Iowa State's of college football have a better shot because they play in inferior conferences? A thirty-two team playoff opens up the gate to even those playoff dynamics.

It's just shit that BYU and Iowa State are often in consideration because of their shit conference. Let's put those both in the Big Ten conference and you won't hear their names as play off contenders mentioned again. Nebraska is a perfect example of what I am talking about (for you older guya who were around when Nebraska was considered a power house program.............. then they joined the Big Ten conference....... please que the music for TAPS please. The same thing would happen for the Big Twelve conference champs since Texas and Oklahoma went to the SEC. Pee wee league.

If nothing else Kirk has PJ figured out. 10-1 and the one loss was disputable
