Around the B1G

How will it end? The top isn't that mysterious but the fat middle fascinates me. So many teams, its hard to size it up. Northwestern's shut out of Purdue tells me they're pretty decent. PU loses a lot of games, not because of their offense. I won't be shocked if NW goes to Lincoln and pulls out a win.

Western B1G teams have a big home field advantage most of the time and when they travel east, they have a greater disadvantage usually.

I won't be surprised if UCLA finishes 7-5 and beats USC.

USC is explosive as can be, very athletic, but my my my, a good team can run on them....is that enough?

Michigan looked like a different team and probably played their best game of the season so far.

Hawks have a lot of opportunity to improve the passing game. Could finish 9-3 but most likely 8-4 or 7-5.

Nebraska looks like they usually do... explosive and productive offense but flawed and vulnerable to solid defensive teams.

From what I saw of the Minnesota game, they came to play Friday night vs the Huskers. Defense was flying around, strong running game...simply out-physicaled NB...kind of like Iowa looking in the mirror on a good day. Saturday's game at Kinnick looks like an old-fashioned slobberknocker.
