Kurt vs Curt Gamethread

Time for a reality check… This Iowa program is a mid-tier Big Ten team and the days of Western division championships are over. The Hawkeyes are a once in 10 years type of team when it comes to even thinking about competing for a Big Ten championship or possibly seeing the playoffs. Unless some new head coach comes in here and blasts the doors off of everything, it’s not going to change. The chances of a new coach making that big a difference is pretty slim. Get used to 9-10 wins being the goal and 7-8 wins being the norm.

Well, Iowa just playing Iowa football.
Yes Kirk deserves the biggest statue outside Kinnick, College HOF and all the other accolades he has earned over the years.
..But dammit he needs to retire, immediately.
The game has just passed him by and he refuses to adjust to it. It fact hire an entire coaching staff.

Iowa continues in the same ways. Dull, boring and predictable football.
Iowa State is close to or already has passed Iowa by. Not only beating Iowa head to head but went to their conference title game and possibly this year as well.
Head Coach and players. ISU has 1 QB,soon 2 be 2 starting in the NFL. 2 RB starting in the NFL, 3-4 WR starting in the NFL. not to mention TEs lineman and defense players. So Iowa dominating NFL rosters is slipping.

Now Indiana. CFP last season and a chance this years. Got a ton through the porthole including the top Heisman candidate.
Time for some serious changes in IA City

Has worked for Indiana

Well, they had some good stops on 4th down and that interception, but if they would have actually tackled instead of hoping to knock people down, this probably would have ended differently.
I didn't actually see some of those plays but from what Dolph said on the radio that sounds about right.

Great defensive effort.
This is on the offense -again.
Hard to win with 13 points.
Giving the opponents 7pts.
Tackling was horrid.
Defense was non existence with 25 seconds left before halftime. Poor tackling and Indiana marches down field and kicks a game tying FG right before half.

Last series of game when Indiana score GM TD.
Poor tackling and Lee getting torched again

So people’s reaction to this luck ass loss is to want a regime change to get boatraced by 40 in this game?
uh yes.
Especially since Iowa State has passed us by. On the field and player development. The amount of ISU skill position players who are starting in the NFL. Big 12 title game last season and possibly a shot this year as well.

Freakin Indiana! Went to the CFP last season.
Prob will go back to CFP this season. Hit the transfer porthole last season big time.
They now have the front runner for the Heisman as their WB

There was so many missed tackles behind the line of scrimmage by the Hawks that ended up going for positive yardage. The defense played great and the defense played terrible in the same game. Tackling was often atrocious. Tackling was great on fourth down. Letting the Hoosiers back run through tackles at the end of the first half was the catalyst for them getting points before halftime.

Schemes were good.
Execution (talent?) was lacking.
