Are we back?

Not the basketball team but the forum. Also who is running things? I read on one web location that Jon was trying to buy the forum back from the people who have control over it. The info could be totally false and this might have just been a glitch in the system or maybe updates are being made or there is new ownership over the forum. It just came back up at 1245 am on Tuesday morning, May 6, 2025.

Last I heard Jon was unable to meet the overvalued price that the website owner wanted. That was a few months back. Rob signed off for good around that time as well. Since then, no real news. I just cannot imagine this site is worth much given the limited traffic and a dying business model. But, it is what it is.

The site has been glitchy the last few days but I have usually gotten on.

I looked at quite a few alternative sites

And Hawkeye Nation has a better format than most of them and also more traffic

Plus it is FREE

And actually more active posters by far

Made me appreciate you Lads all the more

Lotta sparing back and forth on some alternative sites

Seemed like spiteful bitches, some of them

Even worse was the Raveling introduction presser where I remember a sign that said “Iowa is unRaveling”. I can’t recall if it was the official slogan for the event or just something a random fan came up with but either way it was hardly an encouraging show of support.
People may not have liked George's poor during game coaching, but DAMN could that guy recruit. Mr. Davis should have hired him just to be a recruiting assistant. He had done that then Fran would have had to coach at Iowa several more years to surpass Mr. Davis as the all-time leader in wins for the Iowa basketball program. Mr. Davis was pretty good in recruiting but George did a great job in that aspect.

I remember George sweated profusely during the games at Carver and could be seen carrying a towel on a regular basis. Now that Caitlin has come out and commented about the lack of air-conditioning in Calver I have more compassion for George.
