For The husker Fans…

It's not like they were prevented from voting or something. Or prevented from using the bathroom. The 2 Stars (do they still use 2 Star?) didn't forcibly shove their heads in toilets and flush. They were told to move.

If it's more important to "pray" at midfield than say shuffling over to the 30 yard line, then it's not about praying.

What's great about all this?

Nobody on earth will side with Nebraska over this, except maybe Westboro Baptist Church. Nobody on earth will side with Nebraska over the delay of game thing. The more Nebraskans dig their heels in on this, the more they damage their reputation as the best and classiest team and fans in college football.

Oh, you don't think they are the best and classiest fans and program? Just ask them. They will tell you.

When it's you against the world? That usually just means the rest of the world can't stand you.

The Nebr fans in my section were just fine. I did see a confrontation at half time in the concourse when a very drunk 20 something was screaming about how Nebr was overpowering Iowa plus some other insults. Mild confrontation from a few Hawk fans, nothing serious. Police should have taken him into custody. He was dead drunk and potentially dangerous. Or, he could have become a victim.

I've come to believe, from a distance...living out of state for all of my adult life, and knowing some Nebraska folks that people from Iowa and Nebraska are essentially the same.

I was totally surrounded and the fans were pretty terrible. Had a group of pretty drunk females in front of us doing shooters of Fireball the whole game and they were extremely obnoxious. Turned around and videoed the 6 or so Hawks fans including myself on Snapchat any time the huskers made a play. I didn't say anything because I'm not the kind of guy to talk smack when we're getting throttled 10-0 with like 20 total yards, we just sat and took it. Heard the go little red call/return about 476 million times which got real old. One of the many, many reasons I'm happy I don't drink.

However, they did kind of quiet down in the 2nd half. The surrender cobras were out in full force which also made me happy, especially after the missed FG, muffed punt, and punt shanked out of bounds. If anyone doesn't know what a surrender cobra is, google it. It's worth it.

It was nice watching the entire group of husker fans do the walk of shame and hearing their GBR chant turned around on them as Let's Go Hawks.

I have always been treated well when I attended games in Lincoln and have never had an issue in Kinnick. Nebbie fans, like Iowa fans, travel well and nearly all are good people. Every fan base has exceptions.

I was on a plane from Denver to Omaha in the second half and watched the game on my phone. When the field goal went through my son and I were whooping and you could hear a collective "F+ck" murmur through the rest of the plane. So good.

Nebbie fans are just battered spouses at this point. They are broken.

Where I was at happened to be a huge group of them, south end zone, east corner. Easily 2:1 nebraska vs Iowa fans. One thing I've noticed at all of the Iowa/nebraska basketball, football, wrestling, and baseball games I've been to among other things, the obnoxiousness of their fans is exponentially correlated to the size of their group and the quantity of alcohol.

Um, I don't think that is unique to the Nebraska fan base. :)

Arizona State fans. Worst I have ever seen. Classless.

I've been to a whole lot of games across the country other than Iowa participating, and I'd have to say Wisconsin and nebraska fans top my list of biggest shit stains. Penn State was surprisingly the best away experience as a fan I've ever had.

Michigan was pretty good too even though my buddy had an "Ann Arbor's A Whore" shirt on.

Meh. Every fanbase has the potential to be obnoxious, especially when alcohol is thrown in the mix.

In my personal experience, I would say MSU fans are the worst I've encountered, but everybody's experience will depend upon time and place and circumstances.

I will say, I've been told more than once from visitors that they really appreciated how nice the Iowa fans were. Obviously, that's not always the case, but still nice to hear.

…mad about not getting to do your performative little “prayer” deal on the Tigerhawk, take a lesson from your own book…

Matthew 6:5-6
This is the finest post you have ever made on this board.

And then to use the prayer deal as an excuse to not show basic sportsmanship during the coin toss is just breathtaking in its arrogance.

I think it fueled Iowa to hang in there and defeat a good Nebraska team while using a 5th string QB with almost no game experience.
