Fans lost their shit over XF and Carton and neither did shit reallyRemember when the rubes here were freaking out about him not signing here? Foster did the Hawks a huuuuuuuuuuge favor. Lol
0 dances, 2 schools, averaged 13 points a game, left with eligibility left, no all conference honors- went undrafted. He contributed for sure, but it's debatable how respectable it is. I mean, we rail on a ton of Iowa players for doing far more than that. Iowa went to the dance every year he played college basketball fwiwCarton had a respectable college career anyway. Foster has not. Wish the best for the young man. Hasn’t made the best choices it appears
Carton didn't end up doing much be he potentially really could've. Have you seen him in Gleague? He's talented and always has been. Had he came to Iowa and stuck it out I agree I think he'd have been a hell of a player. Dude just couldn't get out of his own way.0 dances, 2 schools, averaged 13 points a game, left with eligibility left, no all conference honors- went undrafted. I am of the mind that Carton and X would have been stars at Iowa - with a coach that knows how to develop talent, the road could have looked a lot different for both of these guys.
Oh yeah, he was very good, he actually played really well for TOSU the 2nd half of his rookie season....he would have been great at Iowa, but probably would have transferred because he couldn't beat out Jordan lol.Carton didn't end up doing much be he potentially really could've. X I'm not so sure about... He evidently doesn't have the drive or work ethic. Woulda been interesting had he came to Iowa day 1 he could've played with Garza for a yr to train and learn. Coulda done him a world of good.
I watched Foster in high school once. Biggest kid on the court and he lazily hung out at the 3 point line the whole game. It was weird.Carton didn't end up doing much be he potentially really could've. Have you seen him in Gleague? He's talented and always has been. Carton played only two years of college ball before he declared for the draft. He would have benefited from four years of college under a good coach. In today's world of NIL, he probably stays in college.Oh yeah, he was very good, he actually played really well for TOSU the 2nd half of his rookie season....he would have been great at Iowa, but probably would have transferred because he couldn't beat out Jordan lol.
Yes. Although playing since the crucifixion, Foster has only participated in 21 games, reaching a high of 4.0 ppg at ISU, then .04 at SMU then 0 this past season, in only four games. Only 32 points since HS graduation in 2020.jesus, this guy is still playing?
Yeah Fran coulda found a way to play them together I would think. JBo coulda played off the ball more which woulda benefited him immensely. Tried and failed, with Joey T. Jordan was just better with the ball in his hands. The team played better as well. Jordan had good court vision, career leader in assists and clearly showed strong leadership.Yeah Fran coulda found a way to play them together I would think. I don't think they tried to play JBo off the ball very much... Hardly at all. They kept him at PG out of necessity. Guys like JT couldn't improve their own games enough to beat him out. Joe was 10x the better athlete and defender then JBo but he couldn't shoot well enough or keep from turning it over too much. He just wasn't consistent enough and JBo was.Tried and failed, with Joey T. Jordan was just better with the ball in his hands. The team played better as well. Just not a classic point guard.
Is that a JUCO school? Pretty sure we had some people where I work graduate from their condensed welding program.I see that X has found a new home at Radford U in Virginia.
FYI, Radford has made the dance thrice. They've been fodder for a #1 seed each time.Is that a JUCO school? Pretty sure we had some people where I work graduate from their condensed welding program.
I do think I remember watching their basketball team beat the Upper Northwest Central Poughkeepsie County (Rayburn St. Campus) Fighting Dingleberries in a 3 OT thriller on Montana Public TV once on a work trip back in ‘99, though. The announcer kept saying how much of a statement win it was since Radford players had to buy their own jerseys and drove themselves to the game in 4 Chevy Suburbans of varying model years.
I remember ESPN did a 30 For 30 back in ‘02 where they said there was a big hubbub over that game, about how one of the Radford Suburbans didn’t have an inspection sticker and got pulled over for window tint, but the county mountie let them go with just a warning. Blatant favoritism to allow them to get to the game on time and completely turned the 2002 college basketball landscape on its head.
