Big Ten Thursday loss chance: Minnesota

Minnesota physically took over the second half. Good for them. It looks like they may pull of a solid road win.

Give your definition of "solid" for the Committee, President Clinton.

Minnesota on the road for the season opener at Murfreesboro TN (bet most of you did not know where the hell that was, I had to look it up!) Not sure why a B10 team is playing on the road for a season opener against a Sun belt team, might need to ask the AD about that?

Mike Hlas of the CR Gazette had them at #24 in his pre-season poll (I'm calling you on this one Mike- at least give me a reason?) Why??

you can check it here--

Minnesota won the game, not in fashion, but no one remembers that at the end of the year. (regardless of the MTSU QB who can't gamble) Minnesota went for huge rushing yards in this game and keeps in the good graces of the B10 by pounding it out old school.

I guess I'm baffled why MN would schedule this for a season opener and why Mike picked MTSU so high? Bueller, Bueller??

IOWASS,

did you happen to notice that with that offense it is crucial to have an experienced QB, that is mobile. The back up (#10) would be a good QB in a traditional pro-style offense. I would be surprised if MTST was able to use the whole playbook they designed around their super star, Dasher. They were also 10-3 and bowl winners, I think it's safe to say for those reasons is WHY Hlas put them in the the top 25, I think with Dasher, they would have won by double digits.
