A little over 2 weeks til the first exhibition game. Will you be getting BTN + to watch? Looks like several games are on there. I have a gig on Oct 27th - So i am hopeful that if I get the BTN+ subscription that I should be able to watch the replay of the game anytime. Or at least, I think I remember that being an option.

Is there any way Garza is starting at C from the word go?

Monday is media day for Iowa.

I could deal with that. Any skuzzlebutt about the team anyone's stumbled onto? Typically we hear more leading up it feels like. I've heard that Pemsl is pretty close to being back to 100 and has thinned down a lot.
 


I watched these segments with Coach Francis last night. Not super in depth but should help you erase your itch some.

I'll have to watch all 3 episodes, but do they have to keep showing Garza getting stuffed by the rim? Good to hear that Cook is slowing his game down a little. I'm curious to hear if Wagner is still aiming for the 3.
BTW, that main host is annoying AF.
 




Yes, once again I will have to subscribe to BTN+ for a month to see all of the early games, with the exception of the Northern Illinois game, which will be played over a month after the season starts. Seems pretty ridiculous to me, given how much I spend on cable (which includes the BTN), that I have to pay an additional amount to watch our preconference games. But, hey, it's $10 for the month, so I will do it. To those that also subscribe, remember to cancel your membership before the month is over or they will automatically renew it for you.

yep - complete BS, but I've done it ever since the BTN became a thing. $10 for me to be able to see the team 5 or 6 times aint nothing to me. I still don't like it, but I'll do it because I really can't wait.
 








Iowa now has talent at all positions on the floor. I'm jaked for the upcoming season! I love the football season but expectations for this team has me ready for basketball! For winter/snow, not so much!

BAER Will become 6th man.Fran likes that
and so does Baer.Great situation.Sweet 16 here we come l
 




I think Baer is too good to not play a lot of minutes and he plays too hard to be able to play the minutes he needs from the bench. It makes no sense to have a rested Baer sitting on the bench for 8 minutes per game. (That's 4 minutes to start the game and 4 to start the 2nd half)

I agree - i think we have enough depth in the front court that we have someone else that can provide the spark that he's been known to create coming off the bench. Cordell comes to mind.

I still say (and prefer) that Baer comes off the bench. He will still play a starters share of minutes, but I think last year validated that Baer coming off the bench is the best thing for the team.

Wagner (with a quick hook for baer)
Cook
Garza

That's what I want to happen
