Kirk (or is that Brian?) with his Clydesdale; Valerian steel sword and Hawk.
Iowa 7-5. Possibly 6-6.
I think this would be a good season, this season. Can't overstate no experience at qb and wr. JB and MQ are new additions that could be x-factors, if used dynamically. If they're just cogs in the wheel, 6-6 would be good.
I can't ever look at 6 wins as good, even in a low expectations season. But i get what you're saying. Anything less than 7 would be disappointing, but oddly only 1 additional win to 8 I would consider pretty good. Need 9+ for me to consider it a solid good year. Unlike most of the last 18 years, I think the first 2 games are gonna give us fans a lot of answers on the type of team the Hawks will be. But lots of questions currently...

Unfortunately, the ISU game can be absolute fool's gold (see 2016). The Wyoming game could be the same, as we don't really know how good a team like that is, comparatively speaking, until the season is almost finished. We could go undefeated in non-con and then have a 2006-type season. This is one of those years where losing the PSU/O$U/Wisconsin games, yet finishing 9-3, could leave us wondering how good we are all the way until we win or lose our bowl game. Or we could go 7-5, all losses by 5 points or less, then smoke our bowl opponent and wonder what might have been.
KF may have a winning record against Michigan, but Iowa does not play Michigan this year.
Where is the choice...NO WAY to KNOW. COULD be GREAT, SO SO, or UGLY.
