Okay guys...

With all of the rankings going on around for football I decided to think about our current Basketball team and rank them in my personal greatest to good player. I read so many threads and it is obvious people like and dislike different players. So lets show our cards "metaphorically" and list the current team as we feel from top to bottom. feel free to critique any and all lists as we usually do... but back it up with your list too. Don't just cheap shot other peoples lists.

#! JO BO
#2 Cook
#3 Garza
#4 Moss
#5 Baer
#6 Nunge
#7 Kriener
#8 Uhl
#9 Pemsl
#10 Dailey
#11 Connor MC
#12 Ellingson
#13 Wagner
#14 Williams

This is not just about one attribute or importance but an all around player ranking.

This should be fun...

#1 Cook
#2 Bohannon
#3 Moss
#4 Baer
#5 Pemsl
#6 Garza
#7 Nunge
#8 Kreiner
#9 Williams
#10 Wagner
#11 Uhl
#12 Connor MC
#13 Ellingson
#14 Dailey

I was really impressed with Pemsl at times last year. If he was playing through injury all season I'm excited to see what he can do at full strength. I'll keep true freshmen out of my top 5 until I see them play some decent competition.

#1 JBo
#2 Cook
#3 Moss
#4 Baer
#5 Garza
#6 Pemsl
#7 Kreiner
#8 Ellingson
#9 Nunge
#10 Wagner
#11 Willlimas
#12 Uhl
#13 Dailey
#14 C Mac (he's not playing this year)

The team goes as JBo goes IMO. I thought about Garza higher bc he is what was missing last season but he's still a F and Cook at his more natural position could be impressive. The team needs Baer's energy and Moss to create especially is JBo is not having a great night.

Like your points... Pemsl was injured all through HS and it makes me worry if he will ever make it through a year.. he does have great potential.

Very good points... not a lot of proven talent for any yet. very young team. Uhl and Baer are only ones with meaningful multiyear experience. Freshman seem to be right there with them.

I feel like the freshman could both be higher on my list but without having seen them play as much and against tough competition, I justified ranking them lower.

I hesitate to put too big of expectations on the newbies until see them against real competition. Returning players are all going to up their games and can't beat experience. I think Wagner will be more valuable than he often gets credit for. Not everyone needs to put up double figures to be a key piece of the puzzle. Love Pemsel's game and look for Kreiner to impress. Williams will also be taking a big step forward and has potential to be a stud before done.

Bohannon, Baer, Ellingson, Williams, Kriener, Williams, Dailey, and Uhl would be tied. It will be interesting to see which ones emerge this year. Hopefully, Pemsl will be at full strength. Bohannon is excellent at a lot of things he does, but he needs work on a lot of things too. He is a clutch player. If Nunge doesn't red shirt I think he will be impressive. Garza seems to be a Woodbury with a lot of offense.

Cook is the leader and muscle down low.
Moss is a shot creator, which is something we lack and need.
Bohannon is the heart and a great shooter.
Baer is pure grit and toughness, always a must for a team.
Garza brings some great potential, if he can drag a big out of the lane, things open up for Cook which in turn opens up the outside.
The rest all play a role. And you need role players to win. So the rest could be in one spot.

Can't disagree on much. Except rookies cannot be gauged until they actually play against centers taller than 5'7" on the Italian national team.

My only thought in reviewing these is that Baer should be ranked much higher.
He does so many of the intangible things to help us win. Most have him in their top-5, but I'm thinking top-3.

Can least afford to lose JB...

Looking forward to seeing how good Garza can become...

Baer would be at the top of my list...

Explain to me how Wagner is better than Baer.

Here is where Baer ranked on our team in statistics:

Reb (1)

Blk (1)
Ast (3)
3PM (3)
3P% (3)
Pts (5)

That's all while playing only 23.8 minutes. Not to mention all his momentum type plays.
