Good Gawd! That kid is a man child. Fran is really raising the stakes with our recruiting. 5 years ago a kid like this might not have even considered Iowa. I love how Fran is trying to capitalize on our progress. Fran is offering top 100 recruit after top 100 recruit. If he seals the deal with even a couple over the next 3 years plus what we have on board already we will be building something outrageous.

With Patrick likely in the fold if Fran can somehow hit on one of these top 50 guys this could be a monster class. Good to hear that Patrick is helping on on the recruiting trail.

It sounds like there is some talent in our own backyard as well.

Another thing that I think is worth mentioning is that our style of play imo is helping us in recruiting. You've seen it in some of these articles that Rob writes. Our coaches are really trying to sell our up and down style of play. I talked to a former big ten player during the season and he said as a recruit Iowa's system would be a huge draw. It's fun to watch and would be fun to play in. He's by no means an Iowa fan.

It should be attractive. I mean do you want to score 80 a game and run or do you want to score 60 a game and walk. There are only a few blue bloods that offer more than Iowa right now.

If Fran starts getting guys like this to come to Iowa, I am going to have to figure out a way to find enough $$ to keep my season tickets...

Iowa offered around four or five guys today. They are all quality players. They are going to land some good ones.

Agreed. These aren't just cold call offers either. These are kids we have some loose affiliation with. The chances of striking out completely seem extreme.

Fran has to:

Figure out how to win close games

Figure out some plays to run at the end of games

Figure how to make adjustments during a game

Acquire an elite PG to run a fast paced machine

It has been a long climb, starting from ground zero, things looking brighter for sure

Well since a group of freshmen won more close games last year than the previous group won in 3 years, I'd say Fran figured that part out.

Also Bohannon is capable of running the offense at an elite level. What we need is an elite shooting guard. That's the one hole in the roster for the next few years. I really hope Moss can fill it.

Get better talent and forget set plays. The only time you should need them is inbound situations and Fran is really good at that.

P.S. ok maybe a set play at the end of a game as well.

Fran has to:

From 2017

Figure out how to win close games
See wins:
Vs Mich OT, Vs Purdue, Vs Indiana OT, @UW

Figure out some plays to run at the end of games
See great set for wide open look to Jok @ UW

Figure how to make adjustments during a game
See switching to zone to limit penetration leading to come back against Indiana at home

Acquire an elite PG to run a fast paced machine
See All B1G Freshman PG

Joe Wieskamp out of Muscatine may fit the bill when he gets here next year.
