Between Garza and Nunge, we are almost certainly good to go at the 4 and 5. With Baer at the 3 and Bohannon at the 1, all we need is Moss or someone else to step up.

Regardless of how good their guards are, Iowa is going to have to get a lot better on defense to be elite or even getting to the next step of being a legit contender in the B1G and to get to the Sweet 16 on occasion. Look at the way their last 6 seasons ended on the defensive end

I like Fran but this is a program issue that needs to get solved if they ever want to get beyond a middling program. And right now Fran has not shown a lot in terms of having his guys ready on defense

The defensive issues had every bit to do with lack of a true center/rim protector as it did the guards. Hopefully that skill set is covered with the #13 C in the nation, 6'10 DC POTY Luka Garza and 6'10-11 long armed JU clone J Nunge.

Iowa doesn't need another pg. JBo makes he team go, period. What they need is a combo guard with handles and an outside shot to compliment him and help get him off ball at times and spell him. Maybe that can be Moss with improved handles. Maybe that is C Mac. Maybe C Williams makes a jump and learns to shoot the 3 a la RDM his last 2 years. Maybe it's Brady.

add a guy who can consistently get to the rim, especially when the shot clock is winding down and this team has some real potential. I'm fine with J.Bo at PG. I dare you to name the last time anybody had 10+ assists in 3 consecutive games for Iowa without googling it. Dude knows how to run the offense.
