South Dakota plays about 8 players regularly. Their stats are very similar to Iowa's, but they do this with no size. They have a 6-10 player who gets about 12 minutes per game and a pair of 6-6 players and everyone else is guard size. They don't shoot that well and they don't share the ball much. This season they shot 34% from 3 pt. range (Iowa shot 37%) and had 1 player shoot better than 45% and their 6-10 player hit 41% on limited attempts. They shot 44% overall (Iowa shot 45%) and both teams averaged 38 rebounds per game and shot 70% on FT's. Iowa averaged 17 assists to 12 for the Coyotes.. Iowa averaged 80 pts. to 78 for South Dakota. They did split with Omaha though. On paper we should be able to score in the paint and rebound better than they do, but we'll need to show up and play hard. Good Luck Hawks.
