IL, PSU, MN, NW, Purdue all very beatable. PSU trash today. MN squeaking by bad teams.I wouldn't favor either Minnesota or Penn State by much, if at all.

Iowa is just too hard for me to predict. The play such tight conference games with so little margin of error. They can all go either way. If you twist my arm, I'll go 8-4 overall.
What crack are you smoking go see my last post I'll give you 4 games we have 0 chance of winning.I swear to God Iowa football is like dying a slow death. The good thing is they have a chance to win, every week, regardless of who they play. (OSU, Alabama and Clemson excluded) The bad thing is they have a chance to lose every week, regardless of who they play. (no team excluded)
I really do not think the Wisconsin and Michigan games will be much different than the NDSU and Rutgers games. Same goes for Illinois and Purdue. No one said it would be easy.
We are lucky. We have a team of walk-ons and 2 star players led by an over paid coach, and are struggling.
We could be a team loaded with five star players and an over paid coach that is struggling. (Oklahoma, LSU, Notre Dame, Texas, Georgia, Auburn, USC, Oregon)
I think it's good that most of the base on here is being generous. I think 3 years of really really really mediocre recruiting is showing up. Kirk knows what he has that's why his agent probably hit Barta up with the sales pitch about here's how long Kirk wants to coach....." This aberration that was last year couldn't have come at a better time. Hey it's an age old contract negotiating tactic hats off to KF's agent. I am really having a hard time figuring how we eclipse 6-6.
Guaranteed Losses:
Wisconsin
MIchigan
Nebraska
Minnesota
MAYBE (If we win the TO battle)
Penn State
NW
W's
Purdont
Illinois
Really disappointing, the DL can't plug holes or control LOS. The offense is very pedestrian only schemed to have 3 or 4 big plays and if the D is prepared or CJ misses the throw we just run the same stuff...I don't get it...shouldn't we try to score every time we have the ball? This offense looks like the year 1 version of Greg Davis.
Very discouraging.

This year will be just like 09. Bank it. The only difference so far is ndsu hit the field goal that uni couldn't.
Nope. Go back and check out the games against a bad Arizona, Arkansas state, Minnesota, and uni teams that year. Same story as this year.Go back and look at the Iowa defensive statistics for 2009. You'll rethink your position.

Get jerminic some stickum. Then he can be that guy.Another difference between now and 2009 is Iowa had two WRs who could do damage down the field. Even if Iowa wasn't throwing there, DC's had to respect MM and DJK. Also TM was there to hurt teams in the middle of the field.
I worry that when Iowa is put in a spot where they need to score, like 2009 Michigan, Indiana, or even late against MSU, who is going to be able to get open and get a TD?

If Beathard stays healthy, 8-4. We just need to find a wide receiver. Huge problem right nowI'm going to say 6 or 7 wins at this level of play.
What say you?
It seems we are right back where we were at the end of the 2014 season. What was Barta thinking? Frustrated fans are going to start barking pretty quickly. I don't think the 2015 season gave Barta/KF as much equity as they think.
Why do you need points...you think my comment is a sham do it straight up. You wanna play the moral win game because you "covered" go do that but 4 losses is going to happenI am a betting man. Are you.? Pick those 4 games you say we have no chance in and give me the points. Since Iowa has no chance in those games, I assume you will be giving me lots of points? You name the amount.
I thought it would be worth takeing a look, to see if you were right. Here is what I found through 4 games.

You can see that Iowa has given up 716 yards so far on the ground compared to 431 in 2009.
For that reason alone, I don't think that this 2016 team is comparable to 2009
