Clemson = Bad Coaching

If the coach told his secondary to leave the guy wide open he's an idiot. Otherwise it was a mental mistake by a player.

It was a great game! I didn't see lots that I could blame on coaching. Sure the onside kick but damn that was just a great call.

If that was Iowa the onside kick would have been waived off with a player offsides. I'm sure Clemson fans Afe saying that was offsides.

So, if you don't play for Alabama or Ohio State, you have virtually no shot at a national title. They get the VAST majority of recruits, and are winning about 70% of the titles between the two coaches.

There is no parity in college football. It didn't really help women's college basketball when UConn became that team...in fact, it may have killed it. Should FB be concerned?

One thing is for sure.....Bama and Clemson both showed yet again it is not against the law to pass downfield in big games.

Pshhh, scoring is for sissies. Everyone knows it's all about the speed and precision of a bulldozer (to the short side, of course), playing in a phone booth and assignment defense to bring home the trophies. Also helps to have some semblance of protection plus a little basic ingenuity and adaptability but I'm getting greedy, here.

Not worried at all. Meyer and Saban absolutely kill it at the college level, but neither will be there forever. Look what happened to Florida once Meyer left. OSU will be down next year anyway even with Meyer, and Saban will leave Bama in the next 5 years, and they will slump as well. Until Saban leave though, Bama will be as close as it gets to a Ucon or UCLA in football.

I thought the refs totally let bama get away with 3 major PI calls and Clemson got away with one major PI call in the second half.

But championship teams dont give up 2 long TD passes to a tight end type player and a long kickoff return.

I didnt know each team that well so I didnt realize Clemson lost a great Dback during the first half

I personally thought it was a good game to watch and they were the two best teams this year.Alabama should be good every year when there able to recruit all of the top players.

Good coaches tell their best defensive backs for be as aggressive and physical as possible especially towards the end of a big game, and wide receivers are coached to do the same thing. Refs don't want to decide the game on penalties so players get away with more. The final plays of big games you can basically mug a person in the open field and get away with it.

Special teams was the difference. The onside kick gave Bama not only momentum but the extra possession they took advantage of. Then the KO return by Drake. As far as the offenses go both teams moved the ball and put up points. So much for Bamas dominating D.... It was an entertaining game to watch. The most impressive players to me were Henry he's a beast he's going to be a heck of a pro, and Bamas TE. Talk about stashing a 5 star stud all year and busting him out as a secret weapon. I don't think Bama game planned using him like that so much as it just worked out that way. But dang what a game changer he'd be on any team.

The player talent on the field was unbelievable last night. Great football skills and natural athletic ability. American football is just fabulous to watch and enjoy. Both squads were exciting to watch.

Iowa might be exciting again in 2016 season. CJ should be very fun as he leads the Hawks to another BIG championship game and victory this time. He gained invaluable experience this past season. Might not equal Alabama, but would hope we emulate them.
