Wadley

Please tell me they were just giving his ankle another week, and it doesn't mean he is suddenly out of the loop....BTW, he is better than Canzeri. ***Stirring the pot***

Yes he is banged up and KF said he could play but with how LD was playing he said it was good he could get more rest.

Do you not remember him tweaking his ankle at Indiana and how they were working on it and then they taped it up even more but he never came back into the Indiana game. He hurt his ankle. Let him get healed.

We have 4 good running backs, and by the way I think canzeri is a much better pass catcher out of the backfield than wadley.

My guess is he could have played if needed. But Iowa has seen that the RB's who aren't healthy aren't real productive. Any of the 4 guys Iowa has can be productive when healthy. Canzeri wasn't quite there last night, but he will look better this week against Purdue. Good problem to have.

Tough one...i'm guessing if Daniels wasn't productive we would have seen some wadley...just a guess...in hindsight it really wasn't the offense that was the problem now was it. 40 points..195 yds from daniels. Let's put this one on the D.

It was reported before the game that he wasn't going to play. Was dressed and only available in case of emergency (other 3 backs getting hurt).

I honestly didn't hear that last night with being so jacked up pregame, etc..never heard it once from the announcers. Makes sense now.

I wouldn't make a judgement on Canzeri based on last night. He played enough to get the rust knocked off a bit.

Exactly, look how great Daniels looked last night compared to a few weeks removed from his injury. It takes time, thank God we have a stable of very good RB this year.

My guess is that next week Canzeri and Wadley split time in the first qtr. and whomever has the hot feet gets the majority of the carries the rest of the game. Daniels will start. It would be great to have two backs over 100 yards and not have CJ need to carry the ball much.

Someone jog my memory if I'm wrong, but is this the best RB corp at Iowa since the Owen Gill Butter Fingers Harmon days?

Gill/Harmon was pretty good.

K Harmon/Bayless/et/al. saw some good years. The era of Nick Bell/Tony Stewart/Mike Saunders was pretty righteous, as well.

Shaw/Banks/Dwight was certainly a solid group

Freddy Russell/Jermelle Lewis got it done
