That INT was unreal, the target wasn't even his guy. He broke coverage mid stride and came over to get it. It's like he was playing man as CB and zone as a safety at the same time. If he isn't all American it's a travesty.

That was a hell of a catch, and to get a foot down before going out of bounds was awesome.

...but that pass had a hang time of like 12 seconds.
 


Standard cover 4, great turn by King, flashing the ball skills, and agree that the throw was up there a while.

im sorry Bob Sanders but I think I have to say yes which is difficult to do.
 


I think he blew contain on Howard's first TD run, but even great players miss an assignment or two. He more than made up for it.

Absolutely right. Got greedy about making a play and tried to spin inside and gave up everything outside hash.

Hard to compare a CB and a safety.

I think Sanders had a bigger overall impact. But if King comes back for his senior year.....I'd love to find out.
 






I think the better comparison is Micah Hyde. King plays a lot like Hyde, but has better ball-hawking skills.
 








Desmond King is 1st Team All American, UNANIMOUS Vote.

I wish he'd slow down a bit, so there's some chance he comes back to the Hawkeyes, for
1 more year.
 


He will come back for his senior season.


How many times in life is he going to get to play for back-to-back national championships?
