He was schooled, but needed to go. Learning curve huge. O line and Cazeri deserve lots of credit. Rsprct Illini- they played TUFF!!!!

Daniels has seen significant snaps all season at guard. He was moved to tackle mid-week!

He had some bad plays, no doubt. Perspective is also needed. He's a true freshman, playing a position (tackle) he literally just started playing a bit over a week ago. The more he plays, the better he will get. It doesn't mean there won't be negative plays next week against Northwestern, because there will be. Hopefully Boettger and Myers can return after the bye at the latest. Hawks need to get get some players back. Major contributors not available today. T. Smith, Myers, Boettger, L. Daniels, and obviously Ott.

Oline struggled but got better in the 2nd half. Getting the oline healthy will help a lot. We essentially were playing the backups to last year's backups this game. Bodes well for the future, especially if we healthy.
