Good point but when looking at Fry's top 3 WRs: Dwight, Hughes, & Harmon. They all carved out NFL careers of several years (at least by NFL standards). Harmon was a hybrid RB/WR 3rd down back type and did a lot of working catching the ball. He probably would have fit in very well in today's NFL.
Ferentz's WRs have struggled to even get on a practice squad.
If you're picking starting WRs of the All Fry/Ferentz era, Dwight is a no-brainer, he's the fastest player (in pads with the ball in his hands in the last 35 years, probably ever). Harmon was the quickest and had acceleration that has been unseen at Iowa since he left. Hughes still is the WR size, speed, athletic ability combo standard at Iowa that few measure up to.
Is anybody really going to pick Hinkel, Solomon, DJK, McNutt, or Jones over them? Maybe Mo Brown in pre-injury, but those guys, IMO do not hold up Fry's WR standard.
