If Wichita St. or UNI played a Power 6 schedule they would lose 8-11 games. Nothing wrong with that, still good teams and NCAA teams, but they lose several games playing a real schedule (UNI #162 Wichita St #123 overall and #199 & 196 conference SOS)

Transitive property does not work.

Iowa's worst shooting % of the year. And that is REALLY saying something.

B1G is probably most physical league in basketball. UNI would struggle with this night in and night out as they are vastly undersized.

Nearly every time in the 3 leagues mentioned above are more talented and athletic than UNI. Something they haven't had to deal with in their crap conference

UNI if in a power conference would have tougher pre conference schedule

Sure UNI might have a few good wins but would inevitably lose a few Rutgers, NW, Minnesota, indiana, Oklahoma state, Ksu, Miami type teams.

Conclusion...maybe they finish around .500 in league but that is not top 25. The level of play between MVC and other 3 conferences is night and day

This is the way I see it. Still a NCAA team, but really should be more of a 7/8/9 seed (what they would be if they played in a Power 6 conference). The cream puff MVC though vaults them to a 5 seed.
 


It's nice to see UNI have another good year, I just wish those that like to cause waves, and throw sand in our face every time we stumble, would actually realize the points that Dean just mentioned....UNI in the ACC, Big Ten, Big Twelve, etc...would be devoured...There is no comparison....
 


What is really too bad is that Fairfax (who is actually a Clown fan anyway) comes here to troll, and created this whole thing. Nobody would say anything bad about about UNI around here if he wasn't such a *ucking d0uche of a troll. That is why I wish JD would do some actual moderation around here. I'm not in favor of banning good posters like Jack, but I am in favor of banning obvious trolls like Fairfax that do nothing but create a toxic atmosphere around here.
 


So I like rooting for mid-majors in the NCAA, except UNI, since the game that turned the series into the Big 4 classic...zero respect for them after that game. Huge advocate of them in March until then, so go mid-majors, just not UNI.

1). Their SOS and conference are not good and that's a fact.

However, they are a legit top 25 team. No matter what conf they play in.

No worries IBA, almost all Hawk fans from Iowa pull for UNI in all games but 1 a year. They are very good and definitely a legit top 25 team. Shhh though, don't tell Flairfux.

In all truth, they didn't choke. They were simply outplayed in every facet of the game.

You are probably correct, but for this year only. Kind of like when Creighton changed conferences and was strong in year one with a really good team. Come back and talk next year after you graduate your 5 seniors who all contribute meaningful minutes this year.

That is an awesome point...I don't do anything toxic. I post on threads about UNI and stick up for a Top 10 team in the country that would NEVER need OT to take care of Penn State. NEVER need OT against Penn State.
 


I love that you guys think so much of us to start a thread! Did anyone else notice that our RPI went up today? Maybe it was because you guys took Penn State to OT! Hilarious.
