And yet it was the Seattle defense that gave up a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter and no one is talking about that.
That's because everyone already knows that Brady is really good. You give Lynch the ball 3 times from the 1 and you score 99% of the time.
Seahawks had 25 seconds left and one timeout. If they didn't score on the first two runs, the clock would run out. That said, I still think Lynch punches it in on the very next play. If Lynch decides he's getting 1 yard, he's getting 1 yard. Wilson also could of run the zone read to the left and had 1 guy to beat in a race to the goal line and being 1 yard out Wilson could of walked in.

I was screaming at the tv when they lined up in shotgun for that final play. Completely unforgivable...really glad I'm not a Seahawks fan.
If you just HAD to pass the ball there for whatever stupid reason, do it off a play fake to Lynch while giving Wilson the option to run it into the endzone for a touchdown. To lineup shotgun/spread there was simply dumb
Since they still had a time out, they could have run it and still stopped the clock as needed.
This was my play call before it started. I think they went with something quick to try to keep the defense from being able to adjust/flow. Obviously backfired on them.
When they lined up in the gun, I assumed it was a read option-give to try to keep the playside end from caving in his side.
Right. I was saying they couldn't of run it 3 times. 2 max.
I assumed they were going to Matthews, given his obvious height advantage.
Then again, it was the luckiest of luck plays (admittedly a great catch by Kearse, but still lucky as heck) that got them there in the first place.
I guess I just don't get throwing into traffic at that point. Throwing to an isolated receiver minimizes risk as much as possible. But, assuming Lynch will score/not fumble/no false start/etc. is all in the mix.
I hate those pick plays disguised as "rubs", anyway. "Top" teams never get called for Offensive PI, only middle- and lower-tier teams do.
Bevell used to do that crap when he was with the Vikings. AP would be rolling and he'd suddenly go away from the run especially inside the 10. I never liked him as a OC.
