How many games can we win this year and still fire GD?

My concern is that with our easy schedule, we will still win enough games this year to prevent his early termination. The win today felt good, but GD still needs to go. The Iowa State loss is unforgivable.

False. There is a 0% chance we win every game AND fire him. We have a 6% of chance of losing out, after which there will be a 50/50 chance he is fired (we went 4-8 once and he didn't get fired).

Hahaha yeah, that's a very good point. Obviously my question is a pure hypothetical and speculation, but I do think that with increased wins we increase our chances that GD returns next season. Not advocating for the Hawks to lose, but I really want to see GD go. We've seen enough of him to evaluate his skill as a play caller.

So does Chris Doyle. The Hawkeyes looked like they were getting stronger the longer they played. This is two weeks in a row on the road where they showed superior conditioning. Doyle is Iowa's secret weapon. Can't remember who said that first, but that is the truth.

Uhh, yes. Absolutely. Ferentz hasn't lost a good assistant in years (Philbin and Biels) and I've gotta think that Parker is going to get a lot of looks if the D stays stellar and improves all year. The guy is working a miracle out there with some young talent.

If Greg Davis can do the same, he will, and should, stay around. If not, he should and will, be gone. If you think KF is afraid to fire an assistant coach, you are among the most naive of the population. At this point, Davis, IMHO, has a long way to go.

Only question is Iowa can keep Davis when the NFL comes calling like they did for O'Keefe. ROFLCopter - just kidding - this is Davis's last shot and when he crashes and burns here, he'll be lucky to coach high school football somewhere - 0% chance he gets poached to NFL like O'Keefe did.
