Could this mean Horner to be GA???

I don't think him coaching at Valley, or Willie resigning will have any effect on Horner. He didn't want to coach high school anyway. He was already at Grand View and just did the Valley position because Valley got put in a hole after one of their assts passed away, so he was asked to help out.

Horner wasn't going to coach at Valley next year anyway.
 


That's interesting since he signed a contract that was approved by the WDM Board of Education two weeks ago per the published mandate.

The contract was signed as a last resort. I apologize, if he is coaching at Valley next year it is because the worst case scenario happened for Jeff. He has other things in the fryer than just going for the GA position at Iowa.

Contracts in high school sports don't mean a whole lot.
 






It is interesting that BJ Windhorst is looking at both the Waukee and WDM Valley jobs as rumored per the Mouth of the Midwest (I know he probably got the info from his dentist).

Waukee could be pretty good next year....have some nice talent returning.

A little suprised Windhorst would want to leave SEP....given the facilities they have down there....amazing for a HS gym in Iowa.

He lives in West Des Moines and his parents live in WDM. Has younger sibling that graduated from Waukee. That would be the reason he leaves SEP, but will be happy to stay too.
 


Well with a new Athletic Director in place at Valley, he may be looking to put "his" people in coaching spots. Granted he has been there not quite a year but I've heard several people comment about how bad a year it was for Valley in hoops.
