- Hawks win
- Cyclones lose
- Hawks dominate Cyclone, even if final score doesn't indicate as much. A win in Ames is always awesome.
- Huskers get killed at home. Having it happen wearing the famed "Black Shirts" made it even better.
- Wisconsin losing out west is awesome and ending on controversy like that makes the loss sting even more.
- Illinois losing is cool, even if expected.
Minnesota could of lost to complete things but oh well, they were rather pedestrian for 3 quarters before winning vs FCS team. I also would have loved for MSU to keep struggling on O and hopefully this weekend was a mirage and they can go back to sucking on O and start losing...a lot.
I used to root for alot of the B1G teams in non-conf because it makes the conference look better and any Iowa victories look better. But the national perception of B1G is so bad, it doesn't make any diff until B1G wins a NC over SEC.
So now my thinking is that if our neighboring rivals all suck, it can only help us in recruiting and in the W/L column. You may ask "Bitter much?" to which I reply "absolutely-misery loves company!"
I think Iowa is definitely better than last yr and that 2013 Iowa vs 2012 Iowa would win 24-12 (4 Meyer FGs in the loss). We may win 7 games this year if all goes our way and I think 2014 looks pretty bright considering the schedule and all.
