Okay since paul has been at ISU he has went 24-27 <<<<losing record

Kirk in that same time period has went 30- 21 with a 11-2 season <<<<< Winning.

Iowa is the better program and will get the W this weekend. Since its on the road it will be closer than the Mo State game. Im going with 27-17 Hawks win.

Don't forget that Iowa has played 2 games and ISU has only played one. Therefore 2 > 1 so IOWA WINS.

I'm picking Iowa 21-14.

After yesterday's game was the first time I felt this year that the hawks may not win this game.

Have an opinion, and stick with it. Now you are hedging what you have said for months and months, because Iowa didn't look that great on Saturday???? I mean you have been telling us the faults of this teams for months, did you see some new ones on Saturday, or did ISU just look dominating to you this weekend?

ISU looked bad in their opener, but they have had two weeks to prepare. I don't think it will be enough. Iowa has too many things on their side.
Iowa 31-7

th

Iowa is clearly winning. ISU not so much.

ISU is awful, they may not win a game this year but their best shot is this one. Rhodes seems to figure out a good offensive gameplan every year using a mobile QB who finds WRs open downfield. With our secondary I expect those plays to be open.

This game is all about the redzone, that is where we can team our CBs with best defender in football history (the out of bounds line) and let our LBs take over. Because with our secondary they will be playing far off and give up easy medium routes all game or play up and get burned deep.

Our offense never fails to play down to competition so itll be close till the end.

This is one of 4 games all year we have superior talent but a loss would surprise nobody.

Pretty much right on. I have been thinking about this redzone defense strategy w/ our DB situation this year. Redzone on both sides of the ball. Our Redzone efficiency on offense needs to be very high, way better than the 60% we saw Saturday. Our Redzone defense efficiency needs to be over 50% and we need to own TOP. Teams that can score deep on Iowa will win games. The trick is to keep any over the top plays out of the endzone so we can lean on our LBs more.

I'm not to worried about how the O will do, the Clones won't be able to stop our running game. As long as we can bang it in down close we will do alright. From what I saw on the two highlite shows it looked like UNI was able to run at will. Their RB had 200+ yds. The best defense against the Clones is keeping the ball away from their offense. Plain and simple just eat the clock.

Yes time to scratch where it itches. Iowa should be running it 70-80% of the plays this week. With the ff and some pa passes mixed in to keep them honest. Time to get 5 ypc, it does not matter how many weeks the clowns have to prepare. Iowa is just too strong for them.

Under Rhoads, ISU has scored 3, 7, 44, and 9 points against Iowa. 2011 was an offensive anomaly for Rhoads in this series. In 3 out of his 4 games against Iowa, ISU has had more turnovers than touchdowns scored. I'm not sure I would describe the series as one in which ISU's coaches have figured out a good offensive gameplan every year.

Edit: Fixed my numbers. Thanks OK4P.

This misconception about rhoads is funny. He barely beat 2 $#itty iowa teams and somehow he owns Ferentz.

Pretty sure our defense gave up 44 in 2011. I believe O'Keefe hung 41 on ISU in that game. The Norm backers will jump all over me in 3...2...1...
